Pe durata Nopții Albe a Galeriilor, Strada Panterei va prezenta 27 de proiecte ale artiștilor Octavian Balea, Sorin Dan Cojocaru, Doru Dumitrescu, Daniel Petru Ionescu, Sorin Oncu, Maria Pop Timaru, Silvia Traistaru, Marius Vatamanu, Alexandra Velescu. Publicul va avea oportunitatea să asiste la expunerea conceptului proiectelor de către artiști și la discuții pe baza acestuia.

3.03.2011 Atelier deschis – expunerea proiectului “Social system data recovery” ( Sorin Dan Cojocaru si Silvia Traistaru )

In the open workshop, the “Social system data recovery” project was presented, the authors were Sorin Dan Cojocaru and Silvia Traistaru.

The project revolves around the connection between collective contemporary history and personal history in certain particular situations put under the magnifying glass. The key elements are specific laws applicable by definition to an ample social group but in this case extrapolated from actual individual cases.

The way of approach is purposely objective and descriptive, presenting for each situation general common elements, on one side and on the other, the inadvertence that appear when the laws are applied to actual cases, for which they haven’t been specifically designed.

Sorin Dan Cojocaru- “Mexican Stand-off”- analysis within an installation the avatars of morality starting from the mechanism of utilitarian utopical philosophy applied in politics, the inherent ethical dilemmas and the theory of games. For transposing the concept in a visual way representations from geology - stratification
and sedimentology, were used.

Silvia Traistaru- “Surrogate mum”- via conceptual photography , it analysis the path from the legal document to the person through interchangeable traits of the
abstract document vs. the actual person and actual document vs. abstract person.In cadrul atelierului deschis s-a prezentat proiectul “Social system data recovery“, autori: Sorin Dan Cojocaru si Silvia Traistaru.



Proiectul se axeaza pe analiza raportului dintre istoria contemporana colectiva si istoria personala in anumite situatii particulare puse sub lupa. Elemente cheie sunt anumite legi aplicabile prin definitie unui grup social amplu dar in acest caz extrapolate unor cazuri concrete individuale.
Abordarea este voit obiectiva si descriptiva, prezentand pentru fiecare situatie pe de-o parte elementele generale comune si pe de alta parte inadvertentele aparute cand legile sunt aplicate unor cazuri reale, pentru care nu au fost prevazute in mod special.

Sorin Dan Cojocaru – “Mexican standoff” - analizeaza intr-o instalatie avatarurile moralei pornind de la mecanismul filozofiei utopice utilitariste aplicate in politica, dilemele etice inerente si teoria jocurilor. Pentru transpunerea in vizual a conceptului s-au folosit reprezentarile din geologie – stratigrafie si sedimentologie.

Silvia Traistaru – “Surrogate mum” - prin fotografia conceptuala, analizeaza drumul de la documentul legal la persoana prin trasaturile interschimbabile document abstract vs persoana concreta si document concret vs persoana abstracta.
